The presence of ions in polymers creates complicated nanophase morphologies due to ion clustering and block copolymer phase separation. We use atomic force microscopy, small-angle x-ray scattering, and transmission electron microscopy to probe the nanoscale domains in block and random ion-containing polymers.
We use AFM and FESEM to characterize the surface morphology of thin films. |
